Videolicious is an easy app to make a quick video to show student learning. You can add several pictures from your camera roll that you have taken or saved from the web. You can set the app to mic only to narrate the images or you can record video clips within the app. You can add their royalty free theme music to the end. The final video saves to your camera roll. There is a one minute limit for the video.
Classroom Applications:
- Book Talks/Trailers - take a picture of the book cover and a picture of a drawing of your favorite scene.
- Discuss learning from field trips, science labs or other classroom events.
- Share research information about famous people or historical events.
- Show understanding of various content.
I can't wait to use this with my small guidance groups. I would like to have the students make a picture video of what they have learned while reflecting on activities participated in during our small groups. Michelle P./WKES

ReplyDeleteI am reading a book with my 4th grade boys book club. We talked about making a movie trailer when we finish the book to show on our morning news. We will use videolicious to create our trailer.
I believe this will be great for groups to share what they are learning in Social studies or Science like you would when jigsawing content. Karen L. CSES
ReplyDeleteMy kids made trailers to their fictional stories they created using iMovie. We were shown just a bit from our wonderful TIS and then I let the kids go for it. They were very easy to do for these 5th graders who figured it out by themselves. Amazing motivation for others to finish their writing!

ReplyDeleteThis would be a great app to use to make short videos of safety issues in the PE room for the various sports we learn about. They would enjoy watching exaggerated videos that may be a bit humorous to over emphasize certain safety aspects such as a slow motion view of a hockey stick coming up too high and hitting the PE teacher in the face.
